Ratchet Hardware
Ratchet Hardware is a specific type of Tie Down Hardware that we sell to individuals, manufacturers, or those looking for replacements for ratchet straps that may have become damaged from repetitive usage.
We have several different ratchet tie down hardware sizes such as 1-inch ratchets, 2-inch ratchets, 3-inch ratchets, and 4-inch ratchets.
Ratchet hardware moves in one direction to allow for easy tightening of excess tie down webbing. By cranking the ratchet back and forth you can remove excess slack and ensure your cargo is tightened safely. When you are ready to release pull up on the ratchet mechanism to release and open the handle to pull out the webbing.
At Trucking Depot we have a large inventory of tie down hardware in stock and ready to ship. Orders placed before 11:00 AM Eastern Standard Time for stock items will even ship out the same business day.

1 Inch Ratchet Hardware
1-inch ratchet hardware is commonly used for lighter-duty securement applications such as around-the-house, DIY projects, pickup truck beds, utility trailers, and more. Our 1-inch standard handle ratchets have a breaking strength of 1,500 lbs and a working load limit rating of 500 lbs. Standard handle ratchets provide a more compact design that works great in areas with limited space.
For heavier duty options we also have our 1-inch wide handle ratchet hardware which has a 3,300 lbs breaking strength and a working load limit rating of 1,100 lbs. Wide handle ratchet hardware has a larger surface area that can be used to tighten cargo quickly into place.
Our 1-inch wide handle ratchet hardware also has an optional rubber grip coating which adds comfort and provides additional grip. The grip is often preferred in areas with extreme heat and direct sunlight to prevent the operator from being burned when touching the hot metal hardware.
If you have any questions about our 1-inch hardware or are interested in our large quantity discount pricing call us today at 800-444-0956 or by using our Contact Us page at the top of the website if you prefer communications via email. We look forward to helping you find the exact ratchet hardware you need for your next securement application.
2 Inch Ratchet Hardware
2-inch ratchet hardware is larger and has a higher breaking strength rating than 1 inch ratchet hardware. 2-inch ratchet hardware is commonly used to fasten heavier cargo transported by dry van trailers, moving vans, car haulers, flatbeds, and more.
Standard-duty 2-inch ratchet hardware has a 4,400 lbs breaking strength and a 1,466 lbs working load limit rating once assembled. Heavy-duty 2-inch ratchet hardware has a 10,000 lbs breaking strength and a 3,335 lbs working load limit rating once assembled with heavy-duty 2-inch polyester tie down webbing and end fitting tie down hardware.
There are several different configurations for 2-inch ratchet hardware including wide handle, compact standard handle, wrench drive ratchet hardware, stainless steel finish, and ratchet hardware with hooks mounted directly to the ratchet to have the short end of the strap as short as possible.
3 Inch Ratchet Hardware
3-inch ratchet hardware is only used for flatbed trailers and is considered oversized. 3-inch ratchet hardware is approximately 12.5 inches long and weighs over 8 lbs for the metal hardware. This type of ratchet should only be used for flatbed trailers due to the size and strength of the ratchet hardware.
3-inch ratchet hardware has a breaking strength of 17,000 lbs and a working load limit rating when assembled of 5,670 lbs per 3-inch ratchet strap. 3-inch ratchet hardware is not commonly used in the USA as it is replaced with 4-inch ratchet hardware for flatbeds. This ratchet hardware size is commonly used overseas or for flatbeds that are limited in space and require a heavy-duty ratchet strap.
4 Inch Ratchet Hardware
4-inch ratchet hardware is 12-3/4 inches long and 6-1/4 inches wide. This hardware is most commonly used to manufacture 4-inch ratchet straps 27 feet or 30 feet long designed for securing heavy and oversized cargo on flatbed trailers.
This hardware alone weighs over 9 lbs and should never be used for around-the-house securement applications or pickup truck beds due to its size. This ratchet hardware has a 24,000 lbs breaking strength and an 8,000 lbs working load limit. Once manufactured into 4-inch ratchet straps this product can have an assembly working load limit of 5,670 lbs or 6,000 lbs working load limit rating.
