3 Inch Ratchet Hardware
3-inch ratchet hardware is mainly used to manufacture 3-inch ratchet straps for securing heavy and oversized cargo on flatbed trailers. 3-inch ratchet straps are not commonly used in the United States and are mainly used in countries overseas. 3-inch ratchet hardware can be used for ratchet hardware that has become damaged and needs to be replaced or to manufacture 3-inch ratchet straps.
Our 3-inch ratchet hardware measures 12-1/2 inches long and 5-1/4 inches wide and weighs just over 8 lbs alone for the ratchet hardware itself. Featuring a 17,000 lbs breaking strength and a safe assembly working load limit rating of 5,670 lbs. This ratchet can be paired with our 3-inch polyester webbing and 3-inch hooks hardware to manufacture 3-inch ratchet straps with working load limit ratings greater than 5,400 lbs per strap.
3-inch ratchet straps should never be used for applications such as pickup truck beds, utility trailers, or around-the-house securement applications. This is due to the size, weight, and strength being overkill for these types of applications. Instead, you should consider using a 2-inch heavy-duty ratchet strap for applications that require a heavier-duty strap. While 2-inch ratchet straps are smaller they can have safe working load limit ratings of 3,335 lbs per strap.
