2 Inch Ratchet Hardware

2-inch ratchet hardware is commonly used with 2-inch polyester webbing and 2-inch end-fitting hardware to manufacture 2-inch ratchet straps. The main difference between 1-inch ratchet hardware and 2-inch ratchet hardware is that 2-inch ratchet hardware is made from additional materials and is larger allowing for heavier-duty strength.

There are several types of 2-inch ratchet hardware such as small handle, standard handle, long wide handle, and wrench drive ratchet hardware. The style that works best for your securement application will ultimately depend on the preference of the driver and the weight of the cargo you are securing. There are also several coating options such as standard zinc coating, black finish that provides a sleek and stealthy design, or stainless steel for marine water applications.

The Different Types Of 2 Inch Ratchet Hardware

2-inch small handle ratchet hardware is our smallest 2-inch ratchet hardware measuring approximately 5-1/4 inches long and 3-3/8 inches wide. This hardware has a 4,400 lbs breaking strength and a safe working load limit rating of 1,466 once assembled. The smaller ratchet hardware design is ideal when paired with our 2-inch polyester tie-down webbing with a 6,000 lbs breaking strength and 2-inch end-fitting hardware.

2-inch standard handle ratchet hardware is designed with heavy-duty strength and a compact design that measures approximately 6-1/2 inches long and 3-3/8 inches wide. This 2-inch ratchet hardware style is ideal for securing cargo in locations with limited space. Featuring 11,000 lbs breaking strength and a safe working load limit rating of 3,335 lbs per strap once assembled.

This hardware comes in either a zinc coating or a black finish which helps to prevent rust and corrosion from weakening the hardware while exposed to various weather conditions. For marine applications, we also have a 2-inch stainless steel ratchet hardware that is used to help prevent corrosion and rust from exposure to salt water.

2-inch long wide handle ratchet hardware is our largest 2-inch ratchet hardware and measures 9 inches long and 4-1/8 inch wide. The long wide handle provides a wider grip for easier tightening and extra leverage to make securing cargo faster. This ratchet hardware has an 11,000 lbs breaking strength and a 3,335 lbs safe working load limit rating once assembled using 2-inch polyester tie-down webbing with a 12,000 lbs breaking strength and heavy-duty end fitting hardware.

This hardware comes in our standard zinc coating, black finish which provides a stealthy design for sound and stage productions or hunting applications, or stainless steel for marine water applications. These finishes are great for adding additional durability and preventing corrosion and rust.

2-inch wrench drive ratchet hardware works similarly to our 2-inch ratchet hardware, but the main difference for this hardware is that it is tightened using a wrench instead of a ratchet handle. The webbing is threaded through the ratchet hardware and then tightened using a wrench to have the ratchet mechanism remove the slack and tighten the cargo. This ratchet hardware has a 10,000 lbs breaking strength and a safe assembly working load limit rating of 3,335 lbs.

Warning WARNING: Do not ever exceed the working load limit of any piece of hardware at any time. The working load limit of a product can be reduced if the product is damaged. Increasing the leverage on a ratchet or winch straps by using cheater bars, pipes, etc. is not recommended and can cause serious injury to the user and damage to the ratchet.
