Coil tarps (also known as Coil Bags) cover steel coils on flatbed trailers to prevent moisture from contacting the raw metal material which could cause the metal to corrode or rust. The 18 oz tarpaulin material is considered heavy-duty and is waterproof to ensure ultimate protection for your metal coils. Made from 1000×1000 denier base material cold crack rated for -40° C/F.

At the bottom of the coil tarps are slits in the tarpaulin designed for the transport chain to go through when securing the metal coils into place. The top of the coil tarp is round making for an easier installation when securing metal coils and once installed it provides better aerodynamics and less wind drag.

Coil tarps are made with zinc-coated D-rings which helps protect the rings from corrosion and rust. The hems are reinforced with 2-inch heavy-duty webbing that adds extra strength for the rows of D rings which can efficiently secure the coil tarps to the flatbed trailer using rubber tarp straps.
