Using wheel tie down ratchet straps is a common way to secure a vehicle to a trailer. The car tie strap goes over the wheel and attaches to the trailer with the wire hooks on both sides of the wheel. Then you crank the ratchet to tighten the strap. The optional rubber blocks help the strap stay on the center of the tire.
