Our 16’ x 27’ Light Duty Steel Tarp is made from 14 oz Black PVC-coated material and provides excellent waterproof protection for your cargo. Steel tarps are often used to shield steel coils, sheets, metal pipes and tubing, machinery parts, and fabricated steel products from water exposure during transport which could otherwise lead to rust, corrosion, or damage.

The 14 oz PVC-coated material provides durability and is easy to maneuver compared to 18 oz material. Light-duty tarps are ideal for drivers making frequent stops, solo drivers, or those seeking a more maneuverable tarp for reduced physical strain. Light-duty flatbed tarps can also be the go-to choice for an aging workforce.

Although the 14 oz PVC-coated material is classified as light-duty these tarps are highly durable. They are made with three rows of D-rings backed with abrasive padding to add durability. The D-rings are spaced every 24 inches apart and include reinforced grommets around the exterior edge of the steel tarp to make for easy securement to the flatbed trailer.
